Just A Few Things....

Firstly...Thank You's

I wanted to take a moment to say a big thank you to all who stop by and take the time to read my blog as well as all the comments. If you never read my first post here, then you should just so you understand why it is I'm so grateful for everyone who stops by. I would also like to send a big thanks to FishHawk over at As The Crackerhead Crumbles for including me in his list of blogs to check out, it was quite an honor. So, I'd like to return the favor and tell everyone you need to stop by and read his blog. It is definitely worth the time.

Now......The Other

It took me a while to come to this decision but I have decided to no longer accept paid ads through Entrecard. I will also be canceling all current paid ads. This was a decision I thought long and hard over and I kept trying to justify some of the ads but I have to say it just wasn't working out. Many of the blogs I visit and subsequently buy advertising with my credits do not accept paid ads and I felt I was doing them a disservice by accepting their EC credit paid ads and not giving it the 100% exposure they were giving mine. When Entrecard started the paid ads I was not happy about it but I accepted them to at least be able to say "OK, I tried it". Now I can safely say, I've tried it and I don't like it. So, I apologize to any and all over this but I felt it had to be done on my part.

In the meantime, I hope you enjoyed a few fun Vegas photos I took when my mother-in-law was visiting. The second one is from the top of the Stratosphere Tower looking along the Strip. If you ever visit Vegas, it is definitely one spot you need to go to as the views are brilliant.

  1. Wow, thank you so very much for such an honorable mention!!! No wonder your jewelry is so beautiful. For it is a reflection of your heart.

By the way, I do not think Entrecard is accepting paid ads from outside vendors anymore, but the whole thing is rather confusing to me. So, I probably don't know what I am talking about (again).

  2. Hi,
just a suggestion but you could look into the ad directory. You have total control over your ads and can charge how much you want for advertising on your blog. you can check it out on my blog to see if you like it

  3. That photo of the city is so awesome. I love how it's not so flashy, like usual shots of the city, just a sort of skyline view. Beautiful. I'm with you on the paid ads situation. I don't actually run across many EC droppers who do accept them. I think we're all reminiscing about the beauty of the old system...it was genius. Now they're undercutting their all that was wonderful about it in favor of being greedy. Typical.

  4. Love the pics of Vegas, hubby and I would love to go some day just to look around.
I'm not accepting paid ads either. It takes me forever to drop ads - and so I figure the people who spend the most time at it should be the ones rewarded with ads.

  5. Audrey, make sure you come to Vegas in Spring or Fall when it's not so darn hot. As for the paid ads, it happened again this morning and it really irks me. There is a paid ad on my EC widget which I had just rejected and it is still showing up on my widget! Also, it seemed as though there were ones that were NOT getting shown, so what is the point of that for those people who paid for it to be in the rotation??

  6. I don't accept paid EC ads either, it isn't fair to people like us who drop faithfully to get the credits!
    Good for you!

  8. Hi!
Well...you obviously overcame your blogophobia! Good for you!
When I first started mine, I was a bit worried about not having enough 'crafty' things to show, but now I find mixing it with a little bit of day-to-day stuff, humour, my cat etc. makes it much more fun!

    best wishes,

    Duni

  9. I can understand why you don't want to accept paid ads. Sometimes I have to refresh my page a dozen times to get the EC credits widget to appear. I miss the old EC too.
